Ace-High wrestled against a big pocket pair again in the next hand at the final table. Pot-limit Omaha event winner Michael Watson recently set up AQ regulation against the pocket queens of Dwan. The pair held in this case as well, and Watson settled for $94,800 as the third-place finisher. It was Watson’s ninth finish at the final table of the year, winning four titles and more than $3.3 million. POY Earnings accumulated so far. With this last deep run, Watson cemented his hold on fifth place in the POY Leaderboards.
The head-to-head game started with Dwan having over a 2:1 advantage on Dvoress. Things are even as play continues, with Dvoress advancing in time for the final hand.
