Group play in the Women’s World Cup is moving into its crucial phase, and some countries can book their place in the last 16 after just two matches.
Here, we take a look at all eight groups and what’s needed to secure passage to the knockout rounds.

Group A
Tuesday 25 July: Switzerland versus Norway
Sunday 30 July: Switzerland versus New Zealand and Norway versus the Philippines
The Philippines’ shock victory over hosts New Zealand means that no team can qualify or be eliminated from this group in the second round.
The full permutations will appear after the Switzerland-Norway match is over.
Group B
Wednesday, July 26: Canada versus the Republic of Ireland
Thursday, July 27: Australia versus Nigeria
Monday, July 31: Canada vs Australia, Republic of Ireland vs Nigeria
Only Australia can advance to the Round of 16 after the second round of matches, and they are certain they will advance to victory against Nigeria on Thursday.
The Republic of Ireland will be eliminated if they lose to Canada on Wednesday.
Group C
Wednesday, July 26: Japan vs. Costa Rica, Spain vs. Zambia
Monday, July 31: Japan vs. Spain, Costa Rica vs. Zambia
Japan and Spain won their opening matches.
Japan will end up beating Costa Rica on Wednesday if Spain wins or draws later that day.
Similarly, if Japan wins or draws, Spain will qualify if they beat Zambia.
If both Japan and Spain win, the top two spots will be secured, with the two teams meeting on Monday to determine the top spot.
group d
Friday, July 28: England vs Denmark and China vs Haiti
Tuesday, August 1: Haiti vs. Denmark, China vs. England
England and Denmark have won their opening matches and face each other on Friday. If there is a winner in the game, they advance if China and Haiti tie.
If there is a loser in China against Haiti, they are eliminated if England draw against Denmark.
Group E.
Thursday, July 27: United States vs. Holland, Portugal vs. Vietnam
Tuesday, August 1: Portugal versus the United States and Vietnam versus the Netherlands
The United States and the Netherlands won their opening matches, and will face each other on Thursday. If there is a winner of the game, it will qualify if Portugal draws with Vietnam.
If there was a loser in Portugal vs. Vietnam, it would be eliminated if the USA tied vs. the Netherlands.
Group F.
Saturday 29 July: France vs. Brazil, Panama vs. Jamaica
Wed 2 Aug: Panama versus France and Jamaica versus Brazil
Only Brazil can advance to the Round of 16 after their second round of matches, and they are certain they will advance to a win against France on Saturday.
Panama will be eliminated if they lose to Jamaica in their second group match.
Group G
Friday, July 28: Argentina vs South Africa
Saturday 29 July: Sweden vs Italy
Wednesday, August 2: Argentina versus Sweden, South Africa and Italy
Sweden and Italy won their opening matches and faced each other on Saturday. If there is a winner in the game, it will be through if Argentina draw South Africa on Friday.
If there is a loser in Argentina vs. South Africa, they are eliminated if Sweden draws against Italy.

Sunday 30 July: Between South Korea, Morocco, Germany and Colombia
Thursday, August 3: Between South Korea, Germany, Morocco and Colombia
Germany and Colombia won their first matches and play each other on Sunday. If there is a winner in the game, they will advance if South Korea draw against Morocco earlier in the day.
If there is a loser in South Korea against Morocco, it will be eliminated if Germany draws against Colombia.
