According to ESPN sources, Mbappe could miss every PSG match in August against Lorient, Toulouse and Lens as punishment.
Mbappe recently told PSG he will not extend his contract and plans to leave the club on a free transfer in June 2024.
The France international was then left out of PSG’s pre-season tour of Japan, with club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi demanding he either agree to a new deal after June 2024 or accept a departure this summer.
The striker has been forced to train with ‘unwanted’ players on his way out of PSG which include Leandro Paredes, Georginho Wijnaldum and Julian Draxler.
Al-Hilal is the only club that made an official offer for Mbappe, but in the event of a transfer, he is only interested in joining Real Madrid.
Real Madrid have been tracking Mbappe for more than a decade and tried to include him in the last two summer transfer periods.
Sources have told ESPN that some at PSG are willing to freeze Mbappe from the first team for the entire season unless he extends his contract but the player won’t change his mind.
