Darren Elias is no stranger to winning trophies, having established himself as the best player in the world goat When it comes to World Poker Tour With four titles. And on Saturday, the 36-year-old picked up another win, this time at Aria’s PokerGO studio.
Elias beat 97 entries in event no. 2 of Poker mastersbanking $223,100 out of a total prize pool of $970,000.
It was his second PokerGO title of the year, having also won the $15,000 event in American Open Poker Back in March. The New Jersey resident now has career tournament winnings of more than $12.8 million.
The final 14 players cashed in, taking home at least $19,400. Chris Brewer was eliminated in the bubble on day one, and the field continued to play until the final seven-man table was reached.
Among the prominent figures who benefited from the tournament was the former Poker masters Champion Sam Soverell (13th), as well as Ryan Reese (10th), Dan Schaak (9th), Michael Rocco (8th), Alex Voxen (7th) and Eric Seidel (5th).
