A group of US-based Manchester United fans unfurled a banner reading “Glazers Out” above Raymond James Stadium in Florida.
The banner was seen above the field before the Monday Night Football game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers — an NFL franchise owned by the Glazer family, which also owns English Premier League giants United.

The banner was organized by Manchester United fan groups based in Pittsburgh and Tampa. Footage of the plane and its message were shared online before the game, which the Eagles won 25-11.

The move is the latest protest against United’s owners by fans who are keen to sell the club.
The Glazer family, which has owned United since 2005, announced last November that it was considering “all strategic alternatives, including new investment in the club, sale, or other transactions.”
This led to potential buyers making offers, but despite receiving several offers, the Glazers have yet to make a final decision on selling their stake in the club.
United have failed to win the Premier League since legendary former manager Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013, with their last Champions League win coming in 2008.

However, United have endured a difficult start to the new season, losing three of their six Premier League matches.
