Stephen Song has doubled for him World Series of Poker Circuit Number of gold rings over the past three weeks. He came into mid-November with three WSOPC Nicknames in his name. Then he dropped WSOPC Grand Victoria The main event before making its way to WSOPC Hara Cherokee To add two more victories to his resume, bringing his total to six.
Song’s last two wins saw him come out on top in the $1,100 No Limit Hold’em event and the $2,200 High Hold’em event.
The Greenwich, CT-based poker professional now has more than $6 million in live tournament winnings on record thanks to two wins that added more than $175,000 to his bankroll. Song is also the winner of the bracelet and was the last player standing at the opening ceremony WPT Prime Minister’s Championship Last December.
With his three WSOPC wins and a total of six top-place finishes on the live scene in 2023, Song rose to No. 72 in 2023 Card player Player of the Year race presented by World poker.
The first event saw Song beat out 556 entries to secure the hardware and the grand prize of $102,954. A total of 83 players cashed in at the event, with other notable figures including ring winner Corey Beadle (9th), four-time ring winner Brett Murray (8th), and ring winner James Casement (4th).
Just a few days later, Song beat 137 entries on the list, adding another $72,583 in earnings. The top 21 contestants cashed in the event with World Poker Tour Champion Matthew Wantman (15th) and bracelet winner Cherish Andrews (13th) are among those who cashed in.
Ring winner Brandon Zuidema (9th), bracelet winner Seth Fisher (8th), and ring winner Justin Donatio (6th) joined Song at the final table.
