Canadian police are looking to arrest a poker player who is allegedly part of a string of robberies in Ontario, Canada. Authorities believe Jordan Saccucci, 33, was involved in 30 recent burglaries in the Hamilton and Toronto areas.
This news comes after Saccucci had a big score in the world of poker about a year ago, winning the Main Event of European Poker Tour Stopped in Prague for $962,000. The 33-year-old from Mississauga, Ontario, is now wanted along with three other men by the Halton Regional Police Service.
Details about crimes
Police allege Saccucci operated as part of a group of four men who would enter homes and leave with valuables and cash. Other suspects wanted in the case include Marcel Blackburn, 37, of Hagersville; Domark Lindsay, 41, of Mississauga; and Paul Nkrumah, 36, of Brampton, Ontario.
according to CTVPolice executed search warrants for homes related to the suspects in Mississauga, Brampton and Hagersville. Police found several items believed to have been stolen during the burglaries.
But the suspects were not at the site and are still on the run. Police also claim that the men knew they were wanted by the authorities but continued to break into homes.
The latest crimes occurred on November 22 and 23 in the cities of Oakville, Mississauga and York in Ontario. Police are asking residents not to contact the suspects and have also explained how the group operates Alleged attempt to commit crimes.
