Dennis Lee drops the World Series of Poker main event at Thunder Valley

Dennis Lee is the latest World Series of Poker Circuit The main event champion will be crowned at Thunder Valley Casino near Sacramento, California. The Fremont, California, resident made the trip just over 100 miles to the venue and was rewarded with his second career WSOPC A gold ring and a grand prize worth $207,020.

This win also saw Lee take home 912 Card player Player of the Year points, enough to move him to 10th place in 2024 Boy Ranking provided by World poker.

Lee beat out a field of 742 entries in the $1,700 No-Limit Hold’em tournament to secure his first ever payday in the six-figure tournament. Prior to this win, his biggest payday was a $15,843 sixth-place finish in a $365 buy-in event in 2018. WSOPC Stop at this same place.

Lee’s other ring was won in a $400 No Limit Buy event at WSOPC Harvey Lake Tahoe It was discontinued in 2023. This victory came with a windfall of $13,807. Lee now has over $329,000 in total tournament winnings, of which over $280,000 comes from his success in WSOPC It stopped over the years.

Strong turnout at the event resulted in a final prize pool of $1,124,130, more than double the $500,000 guarantee. The top 113 contestants took home the money, with five or more figures for the top 18.

Among those who delved into the event were bracelet and ring winner Dan Turner (9th), ring winner Randy Gill (5th) and Kaylin LeBaron (2nd). The runner-up payout of $127,720 was the biggest result to date for Lebaron, as he surpassed the $37,705 cash payout in the 2018 Main Event to finish 329th.

The final round of the tournament saw all the chips get QC72 Painting with me holding J7 v. ing2 LaBaron. The better couple held on through K River and Lee got the pot and the title.
