ESPN reported on February 3 that Mbappe has decided to join Madrid this summer – finally ending the Spanish club’s years-long pursuit of the France international – although he has yet to inform either club of his decision.

Madrid sources insist the player has yet to respond to the offer reported by ESPN weeks ago, although they hope Mbappe will respond soon, believing they have done everything they can to persuade him to join.
Mbappé, who grew up admiring Bernabeu legends Zinedine Zidane and Cristiano RonaldoHe has always wanted to play for Real Madrid and, according to a source, he feels this is the right time in his career to move to the Spanish capital.
Sources have told ESPN that PSG have two scenarios lined up for their future plans – one that involves Mbappe remaining at the club and one that does not. With Mbappé announcing his decision, the latter scenario is now starting to come to fruition.
Ahead of Paris Saint-Germain’s 2-0 win over Real Sociedad in the Champions League on Wednesday – during which Mbappe scored the opening goal – Luis Enrique said on Tuesday that the striker was behaving as usual even amid his eventual exit.
