2024 European Poker Tour in Paris The festival kicked off last week at the Palais des Congrès in Paris. The series features more than 30 events, including seven high-level tournaments with a buy-in value of €25,000 or higher. Three such tournaments have already been completed, with more than $6 million in prize money paid out between them. Below we take a look at the outcomes of those high-risk events.
2024 EPT Paris 25,000 Euro No Limit Hold’em I
The festival’s first high-profile event was a No Limit Hold’em tournament with a buy-in of €25,000. This one-day competition attracted 51 entrants by the time registration ended, creating a final prize pool of $1,295,482 paid out among the top seven winners.
The last player standing was twice Card player Player of the Year award winner Stephen Chidwick. The British poker pro took home $421,006 and $420 Boy points after defeating four-time bracelet winner Adrian Matthews (2nd – $278,532) in heads-up.
It was the first title and eighth final table finish of 2024 for Chidwick, with over $1 million to date. Boy Profits already accrued. He followed this win with an eighth-place finish in the €50,000 buy-in event in the same series just days later. As a result of a strong start to the year, he rose to second place in the Boy Ranking. Chidwick now has more than $55.8 million in career cash, the third-most of any player in the history of the game.
Jesse Lonis made it to his fifth final table of the year, taking fifth place with $110,160. It is now ranked fourth in Boy The race is headed to late February.

2024 EPT Paris 25,000 Euro Hold’em II No Limit
The second €25,000 tournament on the schedule attracted a larger turnout, with 62 entries creating a prize pool of $1,574,899 paid out between eight cash-back winners.
The bulk of the game was taken over by professional Canadian poker player Daniel Dvoress. The two-time bracelet winner received $480,427 for winning, plus a $504 bonus Boy points. He also finished seventh in the first high round. With earnings of $548,467 and $609 Boy Points accumulated so far in this series, Dvoress has moved inside the top 125 points in Boy race.
Dvoress also increased his lifetime tournament winnings to over $31.5 million with the win.
Michael Watson finished fifth, extending his showing with a fourth-place finish in the first €25,000 buy-in and a ninth-place finish in the €10,200 mystery bonus event earlier in the series. Canadian World Poker Tour Winner twice EPT The champion now has more than $22.5 million in career earnings.

2024 EPT Paris 50,000 Euro Hold’em No Limit
The largest entry event offered during this festival costs €50,000 to enter. This amount was posted 62 times before registration ended, creating a prize pool of $3,149,798 for the top eight winners.
A French player came out on top, with Thomas Santern winning the cup and paying the highest amount of $960,638. It was the biggest score yet for the Normandy native, easily surpassing the $254,417 he earned as runner-up in World Series of Poker $10,000 A maximum of six occurred last year. He now has over $1.6 million in career earnings.
Chris Brewer, a two-time bracelet winner, took second place with $629,964. This was the second Boy– Qualified for this year’s final table for the American, who finished fourth in the final Boy standings in 2023 with 26 such performances and nearly $13.5 million in POy earnings during the year.
Sweden’s Niklas Astedt, who finished second in the €25,000 second round, finished seventh in the event. The online star known to many as “Lena900” has raised nearly $473,000 from the series.
