Liverpool FC announced, on Friday, that Mohamed Salah has signed a new long-term agreement to extend his stay in Liverpool.
Salah’s contract was due to expire next summer, and the striker announced before the Champions League final that he would remain at Anfield next season.

The Egypt international has now ended the speculation surrounding his future by signing a new three-year contract with the Premier League club.
“I feel great and [am] Excited to win trophies with the club. “It’s a happy day for everyone,” he told the newspaper. The club’s official website.
“I think the renewal is taking some time, but now it’s all done, so we just need to focus on the next step.
“I think you can see in the last five or six years the team has always been working [upwards]. Last season we were close to winning four, but unfortunately in the last week of the season we lost two titles.
“I think we are in a good position to fight for everything. We have new deals too. We just need to keep working hard, have a good vision, be positive and go all out again.”
Salah’s demands for wages were a stumbling block, but a delegation that traveled to meet the player, who is still on vacation in the Mediterranean, reached an agreement that is said to make the striker the highest-paid player in the club’s history.
The 30-year-old scored 31 goals in all competitions for Liverpool last season and helped them win the League Cup and FA Cup.
The striker shared the Premier League Golden Shoe with Tottenham Hotspur’s Son Heung-min and was named the PFA Player of the Year award. He also received the highest award from the Football Writers Association.
Salah, who joined the Merseyside club from Roma in 2017 and scored 156 goals in 254 games.
“This is a special gift for our fans to enjoy the weekend even more,” Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp told the newspaper. “I’m sure there will be some celebrations with this news tonight.” Friday club website.
