While many in the poker world continue to explore their sentiments on Twitter, Matt Berkey has settled down with Nikhil ‘Airball’ Arcot on the felt, scoring a seven-figure win in a heads-up grudge match.
High-stakes poker players got their start in early April, sitting for $200-$400-$400 at the Resorts World Poker Room in Las Vegas. The match will continue for a scheduled 100 hours, unless one player misses seven figures and chooses to quit.
On Saturday, with just nine sessions and 58 hours of their game overall, Arcot found itself down $1,029,700 and proceeded to raise the white flag.
According to posts on social media, Berkey won $350,000 on the last day, and the last hand was a set situation.
Berky was going to keep playing, but Arcot had had enough and congratulated his opponent with a handshake.
“He played really well,” Arcot admitted afterwards.

The match originally stemmed from some bad blood between the two players, with Arcot trashing Berkey’s poker coaching business and questioning his skills. Tensions spilled over into the Bellagio cash game as the two funds collided, and continued into the PokerGO group during Arcot’s drunken session that day. High stakes poker.
Arcot has no shortage of pros who want to play it, including former Hustler Live Casino star Garrett Adelstein, who would like to come back from the poker hiatus for a $500-$1,000 match.

Meanwhile, Arcot plans to quickly get back on the horse with a $1 million cash game scheduled for April 12th.
