“The news about Ansu Fati is that he needs three months of injury recovery.” De Zerbe said Before Saturday’s Premier League match against Burnley.
“It’s bad news for us because he was playing better, he understood the idea better.
“I’m sorry for him and the team especially now when [Danny] Welbeck not playing, [Julio] comprehensive “He doesn’t play.”
In addition to Fati, Welbeck and Enciso, Brighton, who are ranked eighth in the standings, are missing Solly March from their attack due to injury.
Fati joined the South Coast club on a season-long loan from Spanish champions Barcelona in the summer.
The Spain international burst onto the scene as a 16-year-old, but his progress since then has been marred by a series of injuries.
A knee injury suffered against Real Betis in 2020 kept him out for almost a year and a series of muscle injuries followed upon his return.
However, he played out last season without any major injury problems at Barcelona before joining Brighton on loan.
In 14 appearances in England, he has scored four goals in all competitions, including three in his last seven matches as he showed signs of adapting to De Zerbe’s system.
