A robbery and shooting took place at the Hustler Casino in California on Thursday morning.
According to a report from abc7.coma security guard of an armored vehicle was shot and another injured during the incident, which occurred around 10 a.m. local time in Gardena.
An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen.
Three unidentified suspects are reportedly still being sought.
Security guards reportedly returned fire after the suspects shot them. The casino does not operate the armored car. No one in the casino was robbed.
One of the security guards was injured in the clash and the other was wounded. The injured employee is expected to survive.
It is unclear if any of the suspects were shot, and the escape vehicle was recovered by police.
The suspects reportedly waited for the armored vehicle and immediately began firing. “Once they got out of the car, they were met with gunfire,” one law enforcement official said.
