Arthur Morris raised over $800,000 in tournament earnings before entering the 2022 tournament World Series Hard Rock Poker Arena Tulsa series. The strong turnout for this event resulted in a prize pool of $978,690 that was paid out among the top 98 winners. Big names who made it deep include DJ Alexander (ranked 94), Jason Strasser (ranked 75), Chris Tripa (ranked 49), Schuyler Thornton (ranked 45), Greg Jennings (ranked 23), Michael Marder (ranked 8) and Jesica Ferling (ranked 5).
The final day of the event began with only four players left, with bracelet winner and four-time ring winner Mike Cordell in the lead and Morris second in the chips.
The bracelet winner and 2013 Unlock Seminole Hard Rock Poker Main event champion Blair Hinkle came into the day as the short stack holder, and despite doubling the bats with pocket queens, in the end he was the first to fall. Hinkle had it all with AQ topping Maurice’s A-4, but four on the flop turned the tables. Hinkle found no help at the turn or river and was sent home in fourth, earning $61,498 for his efforts. The result made him increase his career earnings to over $5 million.
