Chad Ivslage backed up his sweeping 2021 campaign on the live championship circuit with an even better showing in 2022. In addition to winning his first match. World Series of Poker Gold bracelet As champion of the $25,000 No-Limit Hold’em 8 Max event this summer, Eveslage had another breakout season in World Poker Tour. The 31-year-old professional poker player from Indiana has cashed four, has two finishes at the final table and won one title. Eveslage’s big win came in October at Bellagio. It topped a field of 569 entries in the $10.4000 purchase. It was the second biggest payday of Eveslage’s career, behind only $1.4 million with his bracelet.
Eveslage’s face-off opponent in that tournament, Steve ‘Cuz’ Buckner, made Eveslage sweat. POY Honors down the final stretch. in the last WPT The main tour event of the season, which is the record WPT World Championships at Wayne Las Vegas, Eveslage was eliminated before the bubble burst. At that point, he was just 175 points ahead of Buckner, who had won five major tours this year and made two final tables. Buckner made the money but ultimately finished in 319th place for $18,450 and 125 points, putting him 50 points shy of the draw even with Eveslage. Buckner, who also finished second in the WPT Choctaw The Main Event, which has been cashing in for $1,056,950 this season.
Eveslage’s other final table finish of the season came in the penultimate event, the WPT Seminole rock and roll open poker. He placed third out of a field of 1,541 entries in that tournament to earn $390,000 and $850. WPT POY points.
His other two cashiers this season were 79th in 2022 WPT Venice The main event, the championship he won in 2021, finishing 239th in the WPT Lucky Hearts Open Poker.
Eveslage now has nearly $7.4 million in professional tournament earnings, of which more than $2.6 million is WPT Main tour teller.
