Chad Eveslage has completed a comprehensive sweep of agent selection events in 2023 World Series of Poker.
The 31-year-old professional poker player from Indiana cleared his $1,500 tournament buy-in on June 2 for his second career gold bracelet and $131,879. Just a few days later, Eveslage backed that up by winning the $10,000 Dealer’s Choice Tournament. The subsequent victory saw Eveslage earn $311,428 and his third career bracelet.
With this single performance, Eveslage became the latest player to run short in the Dealer’s Choice events WSOP. Adam Friedman has back-to-back wins in the $10,000 Dealer’s Choice event in 2018, 2019, and 2021 (the event was not held in 2020 due to Corona virus disease-19 pandemic). Jaswinder Lally has also made a move in this format, disqualifying the $1,500 in 2021 and then placing second in the same event in 2022.
Eveslage also kept alive a 24-year history of at least one player earning multiple bracelets during a single match. WSOP. Chris Ferguson kicked off this tour by eliminating the $2,500 card seven stud event and WSOP Main Event in 2000. In 2022, three players have achieved the same feat: Dan Zak, Lawrence Brandt, and Espen Jorstad, who have held off the Main Event and Teams tournament.

A total of 115 players participated in the event, creating a prize pool of $1,069,500 that was paid out among the top 20 players. The third and final day started with Eveslage in the lead with only 13 competitors remaining.
The official final table was set when two-time bracelet winner Mike Gorodinski took it all with a bet of 9-8-7-3-2, only to find himself behind a bet of 9-7-6-3-2 from three. Dutch Boyd, winner of the Time Bracelet. Gorodinski, who finished second in the event last year, earned $42,965 as the seventh-place finisher. He now has nearly $3.8 million in tournament earnings on record.
The sixth-place finisher was also a two-time bracelet winner. Marco Johnson was sent off during a round of substitutes. He lost a large part of his chip stack to Eveslage, then had a few of his remaining chips against several callers. Dustin Dirksen bet Eveslage on the side and showed a 7-6-4-3-2 with seven badugi. Johnson was crushed and eliminated in sixth place ($56,528). This result increased his career earnings to over $3.8 million.
However, another two-time bracelet winner bounced back from the event in fifth place. Ari Engel also crashed Eveslage badeucey. He had a smooth 8-6 one-card draw with an 8-6-3-2 badugi, but was in tough form against making an 8-6-5-4-3 with Eveslage’s high six badugi. Engel drew an ace in the end and sent home $75,341.
Dustin Dirksen fell during a round of No Limit Hold’em. He called All in the River the second pair, only to have the higher pair shown by Eveslage. Dirksen earned $101,709 as the fourth-place finisher.
“Big O” wrote the end of Zachary Freeman’s inning. He landed his last stack in a preposition with an A-10-8-6-5 double. Eveslage came up with K-7-5-4-2 with three of spades. He squirted water onto a high plate only to scoop the pot, eliminating Freeman into third place ($139,048).
However, Eveslage led nearly 4:1 in chips in single play with Boyd. The last hand came in another Big O round. All chips went in after a series of raises over the K62 flop.
