Only hours after 2022 World Series of Poker The main event champion was crowned, and chaos spread to the summer series as reports of active gunfire on the Last Vegas Strip sent tables and chips as players scrambled for the exits.
As it turned out, there was no shooting at all.
Approximately one mile down Las Vegas Boulevard, there is a glass door in MGM The Grand Casino crashes, causing patrons and service staff to flee, assuming it had been shot. The news quickly spread on social media, and it wasn’t long before it reached someone inside the Paris Ballroom in WSOP . World Series of Poker.
The hum turned into panic, and then players, dealers, and employees swarmed towards the exits, no doubt remembering the mass shooting at the Route 91 Harvest Festival that took place outside the Mandalay Bay Casino in 2017. Hundreds more were injured by a lone gunman at a country music concert. .

some WSOP . World Series of Poker Herders reported injuries thereafter. Pro poker professional Vanessa Cady said she fell to the floor and flayed her knee during the disturbance. Ring winner Michael Trevitt said he was run over on his way out of the casino and injured his leg.
Four-time cuff-winner Mike Matuso was hit in the back, and six-time cuff-winner Danielle Negriano severely injured his hand. Others have reported broken bones and concussions.
Although there have been initial attempts to replay some of the events, a significant number of players are no longer in the building and there is still the issue of sorting out all the leaked chip stacks. As a result, the three bracelet events held in the Paris Concert Hall in the early evening were terminated, with staff instructed to carry chips to players who were no longer around.
The fourth tournament, the $3,000 HORSE Race Final Table, continued to be played with four hands. Daily deep ball tournaments have also resumed, although some players have gone blind.
The false shooting report also affected poker rooms elsewhere on the Las Vegas Strip, including MGM The Grand, Aria, Caesar’s Palace, and Bellagio.
This isn’t the first time a major poker event has been affected by reports of a gunman. Back in 2010, a burglary occurred in EPT Berlin The main event in Germany forced the evacuation of everyone inside the building.

I was just in Cosmo and heard some loud explosions and everyone was running. We hid inside a restaurant while they were trying to find out. After about 15 minutes they let us go. He was walking across the bridge from Cosmo to the Crystals and then everyone started running back to Cosmo.
