Poker legend Phil Ivey throws his name behind one of the best gaming brands in the world.
The World Series of Poker announced that Ivey, a WPT Champion, join the company as a WPT Ambassador. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“As one of the most prominent and transformative players in the history of poker, Ivey has expanded his role in the global poker community, and WPT “It continues to evolve through the 20th Anniversary season,” the tour said in a statement.
“WPT is one of the most respected poker brands, and I am honored to become WPT Ivy said. “My commitment and passion for poker have never been higher, and I look forward to working with WPT To showcase the game of poker around the world, as well as its continued expansion.”
Ivey has a rich history with WPT, having participated in many important events over the past two decades. Ivy earned his spot in Mike Sexton WPT Champions Cup when he won the WPT LA Poker Classic in 2008. Ivey participated in nine more matches at the final table in a major tournament WPT events.
Outside WPT, Ivey was inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame and won 10 gold bracelets at the World Series of Poker, tied for the second time ever. The 45-year-old earned nearly $40 million in live tournament earnings, making him a top ten money maker of all time. Ivey has also won countless millions of cash games throughout his career.

I can’t think of anyone who represents that better than Phil, and I know the players will appreciate the opportunity to interact with him at upcoming events.”
Ivey will be participating in many events during WPT World Championship Festival at Wynn Las Vegas in December.
“Apart from playing with $10,400 WPT At the World Championships, Ivy will be participating in a unique experiential interaction with fans, including an exclusive imperceptible experience on December 10.” WPT He said.
In June, poker legend Doyle Brunson, who also won 10 bangles at the World Series of Poker, joined forces with WPT as an ambassador.
