Erling Haaland scored again but Manchester City were held to a disappointing 1-1 draw by Everton after a superb goal from Demare Gray.
Haaland’s 24th-minute goal was his 21st league goal of the season – the most a player has scored before the end of the year in a Premier League season – but Everton responded in style through Gray’s 64th-minute goal.

And despite adding more than 11 minutes of time after a match official had technical problems in the second half, City were unable to make a breakthrough.
Haaland opened the scoring when he came home after fine work from Riyad Mahrez, with goalkeeper Jordan Pickford and Ben Godfrey both unable to clear their lines.
But Everton responded in stunning style in the 64th minute when Gray collected the ball on the halfway line, raced forward and curled a shot past City goalkeeper Ederson after cutting in to his right.
City moved ahead in extra time but Everton held on to a much needed point against the reigning champions.
