MGM It announced Thursday that it has expanded its presence in sports betting in the Midwest.
The casino operator’s sports betting producer, BetMGM, has entered into a multi-year partnership with the Kansas City Chiefs to become one of the team’s premier sports betting partners.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“With a rich history and passionate fan base, the Kansas City Chiefs are an ideal partner,” said Matt Prevost, President of Revenue, BetMGM. “As we launch our sports betting platform in Kansas, we look forward to elevating the game day experience for Chiefs fans across the region.”
Under the agreement, BetMGM banners will be located inside GEHA The stadium is at Arrowhead Stadium. BetMGM content will also be shown across the Chiefs’ digital channels with special offers, game day experiences, and prizes.

We have invested a lot of time and effort advocating for sports betting legislation, and today’s announcement will open doors for our fans to add to their experience for the 2022 season and beyond.”
Kansas City, Missouri is located on the border with the state of Kansas. Kansas started sports betting on Thursday, September 1, just in time for the state to win NFL betting season.
“Legalizing sports betting is a logical solution that preserves Kansas money in KS and drives business to sporting events, casinos, restaurants and other entertainment venues,” Kansas Governor Laura Kelly said in a statement. “I would like to thank all of our partners for working with us to get this done in time for the football season.”
At launch in Kansas, MGMThe sportsbook will operate in 24 state markets with mobile and retail offerings. Sports betting has been legal outside Nevada since 2018.
Founded in 2018, BetMGM is headquartered in New Jersey MGM Resorts International is headquartered in Las Vegas.
MGMThe sports betting producer tracks the likes of FanDuel and DraftKings nationwide, but is widely regarded as one of the top five players in the industry.
