Neymar suffered an ankle injury midway through Paris Saint-Germain’s Ligue 1 match with Lille on Sunday.
The Brazil international scored PSG’s second goal in the dramatic 4-3 victory over Lille but awkwardly fell on his ankle after coming into contact with Lille’s Benjamin Andre in the 51st minute at the Parc des Princes before receiving lengthy treatment. Neymar injured his ankle himself in the World Cup in Qatar.

Paris Saint-Germain faces the daunting task of reaching the next knockout round of the Champions League after losing 1-0 at home to Bayern Munich in the round of 16 on Tuesday. The second leg is scheduled to take place in Munich on March 8.
ESPN reported on Wednesday that PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi and Chelsea co-owner Todd Bohle met earlier this week in Paris to discuss a possible Neymar transfer.
PSG later confirmed this Neymar underwent an MRI scan Which showed that he had a sprained ankle, but it was not broken. Further testing will be carried out within the next 48 hours.
The forward came under fire for his perceived lack of commitment after French media reported he attended a poker tournament and dined at a fast food restaurant following last week’s Champions League defeat. Later, Paris Saint-Germain coach Christophe Galtier defended Neymar and said he had spoken to the player about the news.
