Candidates must be submitted ConnectedThey will be accepted until June 18. The top 10 vote-getters will then be reviewed by the Poker Hall of Fame Board of Directors to ensure that they all meet the criteria.
The criteria for induction into the Poker Hall of Fame are as follows:
• You must be at least 40 years old
• Played for high stakes against recognized competition
• Play well consistently and gain the respect of peers
• Withstood the test of time
• Contribute, for non-players, to the overall growth and success of the game of poker, with positive and lasting results
The 2023 inductee will be selected by the 31 living members of the Hall and announced Thursday, July 13 during the Poker Hall of Fame’s annual Poker Hall of Fame event. WSOP.
Last year, the honor went to the late Lane Flack, who became the 61st member overall. The six-time bracelet winner died in 2021 and beat out nine other candidates including players Bertrand ‘ElkY’ Grospellier, Brian Rast, Josh Arieh, Kathy Liebert, Michael Mizrachi and Mike Matusow, as well as PokerStars founder Isai Scheinberg, WPT Director Matt Savage, W WSOP Commenting on the duo Lon McEachern and Norman Chad.
