Liverpool midfielder Thiago suffered another setback after playing his first game of the season last Sunday, a source told ESPN.
Thiago (32 years old) came off the bench in the 85th minute of the match that Liverpool lost 3-1 to Arsenal in the English Premier League on Sunday, in his first match in 10 months.

However, the former Spain international, who is in the final year of his contract at Anfield, appears set for another spell on the sidelines after suffering a muscle injury.
Thiago’s last game before making a five-minute appearance for Arsenal was against West Ham in April 2023.
Thiago’s time at Liverpool was punctuated by injuries, as the former Bayern Munich and Barcelona playmaker scored only 18 matches in the English Premier League last season, four of which were as a substitute.
This comes as a huge blow to Jurgen Klopp’s side as they continue to fight for four titles this season.
It remains to be seen when midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai will return after missing the Arsenal match, while Mohamed Salah is still recovering from a hamstring injury he suffered while playing for Egypt in the African Cup of Nations.
Liverpool will play in its next match on Saturday, hosting Burnley at Anfield in the English Premier League.
