Sweden knocked the USA off top of the FIFA Women’s Ranking for the first time in over six years.
The United States, who have held the top spot since June 2017 and won back-to-back World Cups in 2015 and 2019, dropped from the top two for the first time since FIFA introduced the rankings in 2003.

The USWNT posted its worst World Cup performance after being knocked out by Sweden on penalties in the Round of 16.
Meanwhile, Spain rose from sixth to second after winning the World Cup for the first time last weekend, while runners-up England and quarter-finalists France remain fourth and fifth respectively in the latest rankings published on Friday.
Sweden, who finished third before the World Cup, join Germany as the only other team to top the rankings after beating hosts Australia to take the bronze medal.
Australia dropped one place to 11th despite finishing fourth in the World Cup, while Japan (eighth) returned to the top ten after reaching the quarter-finals. New Zealand, the co-host, maintained its 26th place after being eliminated from the group stage.
Germany fell four places to sixth place, and Olympic champion Canada fell three places to tenth place after the two teams failed to qualify for the knockout rounds.
Morocco, which participated for the first time in the World Cup, was the most advanced, jumping 14 places to 58th.
