Tom Orbaz is the player to beat so far in 2023 European Poker Tour Barcelona festival. The Israeli resident has reached three high final tables in the past eight days in the Spanish poker bastion, picking up two titles and nearly $915,000 in prize money along the way.
Orpaz’s latest victory saw him conquer 24 entries in a €50,000 buy-in limit hold’em event, to earn a career-best payday of $477,835 as champion. The win came just six days away from winning the €25,000 high round that brought him $275,918.
Orpaz began his amazing career with a third-place finish in another high-stakes event just two days before he became successful and claimed his first of two prizes at the festival. He earned $154,656 for his podium finish in the mystery €10,200 bonus issue.
The real estate investor from Tel Aviv has now completed eight final tables in 2023, totaling 1,475 card player Player of the Year points and over a million dollars Boy Profits all the way. As a result, he has moved into the top 250 players list Boy Classifications provided by world poker.
“I reached my goal. My goal was more than $1 million in winnings and at least one trophy. I got two of them and at least $1 million. And we’re still here, right,” Orbaz said. Poker News Reporters after winning his last title.
