Tottenham Hotspur have released their new home kits for the 2022-23 season and as you might expect there are certainly no surprises on the color front. In fact, the shirt is exactly the same shade of pristine Lilywhite that it has been for the past 124 years.
However, the latest incarnation of the popular Spurs stripe features many subtle features and modifications including a prominent semi-circular seam that runs across the chest and a two-tone edging on the collar and cuffs.
That’s because the kit is based on the 2022 World Cup model that Nike used for the upcoming tournament in Qatar – a modern, fitted model designed to allow for more dynamic movement thanks to the core layer’s compression-inspired panel cuts.
The players’ version also features a fine mesh of thin wire “ribs” woven into the fabric to allow it to hug its lines with maximum precision.

Having removed the grotesque frills from any description of last season’s ultra-smooth Tottenham shirt, the 2022-23 shirt saw a return to the Navy’s traditional inlay, this time paired with a contrasting flash of yellow ‘Volt’ – a flashy neon hue that regularly appeared on second, third and training garments. club in recent years.

Both the collar and cuffs on the inside are also emblazoned with the word “spurs” written multiple times in a variety of fonts, just in case you’ve forgotten what shirt you’re wearing and need to check back in stealth.
Interestingly, the cuff appears to be reversible and therefore can also be folded and rolled up in order to reveal the neon yellow ‘spurs’ band underneath, a neat little feature.
