Sources have confirmed to ESPN that United States and Arsenal goalkeeper Matt Turner will join Premier League club Nottingham Forest pending a medical.
Sources tell ESPN’s James Uley the transfer fee is $9 million, which could rise to $12.8 million with add-ons. A source familiar with the deal confirmed Turner was undergoing treatment on Monday.

Fabrizio Romano was the first to report the news.
Turner, 29, joined Arsenal before last season in a deal worth $7.35 million, but he was unable to displace the first player, Aaron Ramsdale, and was content with seven matches spread over the FA Cup and European League.
This relative lack of activity has not affected his standing with the USMNT, with Turner continuing in his starting goalkeeper role at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and during this summer’s CONCACAF Nations League. The United States won the latter competition, defeating Canada 2-0 in the final.
Turner seems to have come out of nowhere in terms of his rise through the professional ranks, as he began his career with the New England Revolution in 2016 after playing collegiately at Fairfield University. By 2018, he was the starting goaltender for the Revs, and was named MLS Goalkeeper of the Year in 2021.
Park Ridge, NJ made his international debut in 2021 and went on to make 32 appearances for the United States
