British odds comparison company Oddschecker is now strengthening its position in Italy. The company has acquired Italian subsidiary SuperScommesse to complement its existing partnerships with Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport and streaming service DAZN.
Catena Media, the former owner of SuperScommesse, announced it had sold its Italian operations for 19.8 million euros ($21.5 million) on Tuesday as it sought to exit the market. These companies generated revenues of 7.8 million euros ($8.5 million) in the 12 months to September 2023, according to Catena.

Following the announcement, Oddschecker explained how it planned to leverage SuperScommesse by leveraging its “deep local experience.” This includes “a proven team adept at driving sustainable growth in the market, allied with a well-known and trusted local brand,” she said.
Oddschecker also confirmed that the acquisition will add to its Confido Network affiliate partnership. This is an affiliate network that was founded this month in collaboration with an “elite team of digital marketing experts” with a collective 35 years of experience in the industry.
Stuart Sims, CEO of Oddschecker, described SuperScommesse as “the perfect strategic complement to our strong Italian footprint”. The site had more than 650,000 visits in October 2023
