Durham Regional Police in Ontario, Canada is offering a $2,000 reward for information on armed robbers who hijacked a luxury SUV near the Pickering Casino Resort.
With four suspects still at large, the force posted a media release for information on Twitter on Wednesday:
In its media release, Durham Police stated that the suspects arrived at Pickering’s casino in a “stolen white Land Rover”. Two of the four Rover then emerged to confront an unnamed woman as she got out of her Aston Martin SUV, and demanded her keys.
The woman called authorities in the parking garage of Great Canadian Entertainment’s casino around 8:45 a.m. on July 17 to report that her Aston Martin had been stolen.
She attempts to enter the casino, only for the suspects to arrest her
In her statement, the woman alleged that instead of handing over her keys, she attempted to enter the casino, only for the suspects to arrest her, steal her handbag, retrieve the keys, and drive off in her car. Maybe next time you’ll stick to playing free online slot machines instead.
Durham Police have released descriptions of two of the four suspects, both males of a slender build and around 5ft. In the meantime, the casino’s parent brand can at least be relieved that auto thefts didn’t happen at their newly opened venture, The Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto, Canada’s largest casino.
