2022 Bestbet Jacksonville poker card player tour The $3,000 No Limit Hold’em Main Event kicked off with the first two flights taking place on Friday, November 11th at noon. A total of 80 entries were made by the time registration closed on Day 1A, adding $216,000 to the prize pool with more players expected for Day 1B.
Ten levels were played for 60 minutes on Day 1A, and at the end of the night only 24 players had moved on to Day 2, which would resume at noon on Sunday 13 November. Toby Boas.
The Florida resident (pictured above) scored 335,500. Boas has over $1.3 million in scores to his name, including runner-up appearances in 2022 World Series of Poker $3,000 No Limit Hold’em event at $345,244.
Two other players sit with over 300,000. Andrew Ostapchenko (344,000), and Jeremy Joseph (338,000). Ostapchenko is an accomplished live professional from California with over $1.7 million in previous earnings. Joseph placed 8th in the event in 2021, and was the 1A Today Chip leader last year. He has nearly $2 million in recorded earnings, and could very well exceed that benchmark with a strong showing at the event. With $4,704,382 in career earnings and two World Poker Tour Major Event Headliners, Sam Panzica is the most accomplished player in amassing a significant cumulative total. Panzica finished the day with 144,500, taking seventh place in the lead. He is directly preceded in the chip count by TK Miles with a score of 179,500. Miles has $4.6 million in cash-outs to his name.
Scott Reese, who won the $1,700 Mystery Bonus event last weekend for $49,762, finished the day inside the top ten (138,000).
A number of notables went out for Day 1a but failed to collect chips, including defending champions Ben Scroggins, Derek Powers and Sebastien de Jonge.
Day 1B will begin at noon on Saturday, November 12th. Registration will be open until the start of Level 9 (around 9:45pm local time), with unlimited re-entry available for the duration of registration. Players will start with 40,000 chips, with blind levels for 60 minutes to start.
