Eindhoven have been ordered to play their next match in the European Championship without fans outside their home, after fans’ problems marred their Europa League defeat by Arsenal last week, the European Football Association (UEFA) said on Thursday.
Eindhoven fans tore their seats and lit torches, and threw one of them towards the Arsenal fans during the match held in the Emirates, which ended with the hosts winning 1-0.

A fine of 40,000 euros was also imposed on Eindhoven.
PSV Eindhoven’s away game in the European competition comes against Norway’s Bodø/Glimt on 3 November.
UEFA added that PSV Eindhoven must “contact Arsenal within 30 days to settle the damage caused by its supporters, that is, to the affected seats.”
PSV Eindhoven face Arsenal at the Phillips Stadium later on Thursday. Arsenal leads Group A with 12 points from four matches, five points ahead of the second-placed Netherlands.
