Production studio Radar Pictures has reportedly secured the rights to an upcoming film about the life of poker legend Doyle Brunson.
to me LimitRadar Pictures will develop the biography with screenwriter and poker player Justin “Boosted J” Smith who was involved in the project. Radar Pictures has developed movies like Jumanji, The Last Samurai, Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure, and many more. In total, Radar has produced 80 films, according to its website.

“I’ve been sent a lot of poker and gambling scripts,” Smith said. “None of them intrigued me as much as Doyle’s story. There is no better life story than Doyle’s that I know of. Having played the biggest games of poker with Doyle myself, I am so honored to be in the unique position to be able to help tell his story and capture environment strictly from an internal perspective.”

Brunson himself and his agent Brian Balsbaugh along with poker/gamblers Daniel Cates, Mike Svobodny, Mike McGuiness, Illya Trincher and David Oppenheim will be executive producers.
